two weeks of shooting up pauline

best insulin injector tip ever: warm the syringe first.

i was lucky to find this advice early. at first, giving pauline her shot was nothing like the practice with water at the vet. she didn't like it at all, and keeping that needle in a fleeing cat is not easy.

then someone on the internets made it plain: nearly ice-cold water it distressing on the skin, so how unpleasant must it be under the skin? from what i’ve seen, very, so i started holding the filled syringe while smoking or playing a game of hearts or something before finding the cat. (under the arm, as suggested, was too weird. and never warm insulin in a microwave!) pauline rarely reacts to the shots now, and even then it’s maybe just a burrrrt?
